    Which century is better

I personally partly experienced the life in Soviet Russia and contemporary Russia. In Soviet Russia I was a careless child and a young girl. In contemporary Russia I am a married  woman, a mother, a teacher, in a word, I am a person with lots of responsibilities. May be that is why my contemporary life looks more difficult. When my granny was alive and told me about her life in tsarist Russia (She was a young girl then) I didn't get an impression that she was unhappy or her life was too hard. I am sure it had been much easier than during the first decades of the Soviet power up to 1960-s.

In lots of aspects contemporary life gives more possibilities and life-level is higher with all these technical devices. But what I regret most is the decreasing of moral principles. Lots of things that were imposable when I was young are almost a norm now.

So every period has good and bad in it and... we can't choose when to live.
